Across the Geelong region, clubs rely on the time, energy and commitment of volunteers who step up each week to support players, teams and match days. Whether it’s helping on the sidelines, behind the scenes or in leadership roles, every volunteer plays a vital part in keeping our game strong.
Who Can Volunteer?
There are many ways to get involved at your local club, including (but not limited to):

- Coaches and Assistant Coaches
- Referees
- Team Managers
- Club Officials
- Technical Directors
- Canteen Attendants
- Line Markers and Pitch Markers
- Scorekeepers
- Runners and Water Carriers

Volunteer Requirements
To ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone involved in football:
- All volunteers MUST hold a valid Working with Children Check
- All volunteers MUST REGISTER their details via the Play Football website.
Registering through Play Football helps clubs, Football Victoria and Football Geelong maintain accurate records and ensure all participants meet safeguarding requirements.
