Registrations are now open for the 2026 FVG Summer 7’s Challenge Cup, with another huge summer of football coming to Howard Glover Reserve!
Following a fantastic turnout of 580 players last year, the 2026 competition is expected to be even bigger, with boys and girls from U9 through to U16 invited to get involved.
Played on Wednesday nights from 5pm, Summer 7’s is a fun, fast-paced way for players to keep playing football after the regular season finishes.
2026 Competition Details
Dates: Wednesday 21 October – Wednesday 9 December 2026
Venue: Howard Glover Reserve
Time: Wednesday nights from 5pm
Age Groups: U9–U16 Boys & Girls
Format: 7-a-side, with teams of approximately 10 players recommended
Competition: 7 weeks of league games + 1 week of finals
Cost: $95 per player
Team Registration Deadline: Sunday 18 October 2026

With 580 players taking part last year and even more interest expected in 2026, places are likely to fill quickly, so teams are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Referees Wanted
We are also looking for referees to join us for the Summer 7’s competition.
These are paid roles and would be a great opportunity for experienced players aged U15 and above who are looking to earn some extra money in the lead-up to Christmas.
You do not need to be an experienced or qualified referee to get involved. If you have a good understanding of the game, are confident on the field and keen to give refereeing a go, we’d love to hear from you.
