National Para Football Championships Coming to Victoria for the First Time

Football fans across the state are in for a treat, with the National Para Football Championships 2025 being held in Melbourne for the very first time. This landmark event will bring Australia’s top para footballers together for a full week of elite competition — and best of all, it’s free to attend.

Para football is played by athletes with Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or stroke-related symptoms, and the Championships showcase some of the most skilful and determined players in the country. Spectators will also have the chance to see current Pararoos and ParaMatildas athletes in action throughout the week.

Victoria’s squad is locked in and ready to compete on home soil, with players, coaches, and support staff eager for a strong tournament.
