Football Geelong is excited to announce that the Football Geelong Junior Challenge Cup will be back in 2025, hosted by Bell Park Sports Club.
After the success of our inaugural 2024 tournament, we can’t wait to see what’s in store this year — more football, more goal celebrations, and more unforgettable memories!
The 2025 edition will kick off on Wednesday 22 October and run through to Wednesday 10 December. While team registrations will open in the coming weeks, our first step is finding the people who help make it all happen — our referees and competition support staff.
Positions Available
We are seeking expressions of interest for:
- 10x Referees
- 2x Competition Support Staff
These are paid roles at $30 per hour.
You don’t need to be an officially accredited Football Victoria referee — this is a great opportunity for aspiring junior players or anyone keen to experience the game from a different perspective.
Referee Role Details
- Officiate matches and ensure fair play
- Manage the match ball and results sheet
- Have both coaches sign the results sheet and hand it to a tournament official on the same day as the game
- Referee shirt provided (no other uniform required)
- May be scheduled for 1 to 4 games per week
- All matches played at Bell Park Sports Club
- Supported on-site by at least two tournament officials at all times
Competition Support Staff Role Details
- Assist with matchday operations and coordination
- Provide support to referees and tournament officials
- Help ensure the smooth running of fixtures and schedules
