Football Victoria recently delivered a unique football showcase in Queen’s Hall at Victoria’s State Parliament as part of the official launch of the Level the Playing Field campaign.
The campaign is calling on government to increase investment in football infrastructure across Victoria to meet the growing participation demands of the game.
Geelong was proudly represented at the event, with Mike McKinstry, Chair, and Robert Palmaricciotti, Deputy Chair of Football Victoria Geelong, advocating for the development of a Regional Football Facility in Geelong, along with continued investment in facilities for local clubs across the region.
With football continuing to grow rapidly across the Geelong region, the need for modern, accessible and high-quality facilities has never been greater. Investment in infrastructure will ensure clubs can continue to provide opportunities for players, coaches, referees and volunteers now and into the future.
The event also brought together key football and government representatives including Dan Birrell, CEO of Football Victoria, Ella George MP, Councillor Eddy Kontelj and Lachlan Cole, Head of Government Relations & Strategy at Football Victoria.
