Football Victoria is bringing together coaches from across the state this October for the inaugural Football Victoria Coaching Expo—a two-day professional development event designed to educate, inspire and connect coaches at every level of the game.
Held at the Home of the Matildas and La Trobe Sports Stadium in Bundoora on 3–4 October 2026, the expo will feature an exciting mix of practical on-pitch sessions, classroom presentations and networking opportunities for coaches working across community, advanced and female coaching pathways.
Attendees will hear from leading Australian and international coach educators, with confirmed speakers including:
- Besart Berisha – Former A-League star and Melbourne Victory Senior Academy Head Coach
- Peter Sturgess – Internationally renowned youth development specialist and former English FA Foundation Phase Lead
- Boris Kubla – Head of Coach Education at the Croatian Football Federation (HNS)
Throughout the weekend, coaches can expect:
- Practical coaching sessions and classroom learning
- Tailored content for coaches across all levels of the game
- Opportunities to network with coaches and football stakeholders from across Victoria
- Access to industry partners and exhibitors
- Practical ideas and resources that can be taken straight back to the training ground.
The Coaching Expo also contributes towards Coach Professional Development (CPD) requirements, with further information on CPD allocation to be provided closer to the event.
