Football Victoria Geelong is encouraging clubs across the region to explore the City of Greater Geelong’s 2026–27 Community Grants Program, with applications now open across a wide range of funding categories.
The grants provide an excellent opportunity for football clubs to secure funding for projects that strengthen their club, improve facilities, purchase equipment, deliver community programs or host events.
Available grant streams include:
- Community Equipment
- Community Infrastructure
- Community Events
- Community Strengthening
- Environmental Sustainability
- Climate Change Partnerships
- Arts Projects
- First Nations
- Creative Seed and Creative Commissions
- Christmas Grants
- Clean Economy Grants
Each program has its own eligibility criteria and closing date, with applications closing between late July and the end of August depending on the funding stream. The City has also released a schedule of free online grant-writing workshops to assist community organisations in preparing competitive applications.
These workshops cover topics including Community Strengthening, Community Infrastructure, Community Events, Environmental Sustainability and more, providing valuable guidance for clubs applying for funding.
