Football Geelong’s 2026 Goal of the Year Awards are back, celebrating the incredible goals, saves and celebrations happening across our region throughout the season.
If you play for a Geelong region club, you’re in. Any league. Any age group. If it happens this season, it counts!
With six award categories and $500 up for grabs in each, there’s $3,000 in prizes to be won.
2026 Award Categories
- Goal of the Year – Senior Male
- Goal of the Year – Senior Female
- Goal of the Year – Junior Male
- Goal of the Year – Junior Female
- Save of the Year
- Celebration of the Year
Whether it’s a last-minute winner, a top-corner strike, an unbelievable save or a celebration that says it all, we want to see it.

All entries for the 2026 Goal of the Year Awards must be submitted via our online submission form.
You’ll be asked to provide the player’s name, club, award category and video footage of the moment.
Please ensure the player featured in the video, or their parent/guardian if they are under 18, has given permission for the footage to be shared and published on Football Geelong’s website, social media and other digital channels.
Key Dates
Entries close: Sunday 18 October 2026
Public voting: A public vote via social media featuring shortlisted submissions will follow the close of entries.
Winners announced: Wednesday 11 November 2026
