As the 2025 season draws to a close, Football Victoria (FV) would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved this season.
At the conclusion of the regular season, and as per previous communications, FV would like to provide the following key information for the 2025 Geelong Competitions Finals Series.
FIXTURE DETAILS
Clubs may view the Finals fixture details online by clicking the link below:
Finals fixtures will be played at Host venues as determined by FV. Please note, Clubs may be required to play at different venues throughout the Finals series.
Fixture dates, times and locations may be subject to change due to weather and ground conditions. All affected Host Clubs and competing teams will be notified as soon as possible regarding any necessary changes.
We will endeavour to confirm finals fixture details each Tuesday prior to each finals weekend to allow teams to make the necessary arrangements.

PARTICIPATING TEAM GUIDE
The Participating Team Guide linked above provides Clubs with additional information and answers to FAQs in regards to participating in the Finals.
Please ensure the necessary Club Officials and Volunteers are provided with this document as it is an important tool for those with teams competing in the Finals.
FINALS PLAYER ELIGIBILITY AND ROSTERS
ELIGIBILITY
Clubs that field Junior Teams in the 2025 Finals Series must complete the Player Eligibility Roster online form by Thursday 11th of September for all Geelong Junior (U13 – U17) Competitions including a contact name and number for that team.

- Complete the attached FV Finals Player Eligibility Roster Template
- Submit via the Player Eligibility Roster JotForm
See below regulations regarding Player Restrictions for Junior Finals:
- Each player must have Played at least four (4) Regular Season Competition Fixtures for that Team to qualify to play Finals for that Team.
SUSPENSIONS
Please be reminded of suspension regulations relating to the Finals Series:
- All Suspensions from the Regular Season will carry over to the Finals Series.
- A player that receives a Red Card during the Finals Series will automatically miss the next Competition Fixture (whether or not that fixture is a Final).
- Yellow cards accumulated by a player during the Finals Series will not be counted for the purposes of clause 4.4.a of the GDT. However, if a player receives their 5th yellow card in their Team’s final Regular Season Competition Fixture they shall be suspended for the first applicable Final of the 2025 Finals Series.

EXEMPTIONS
Should a Club have any players for whom they wish to apply for an Finals Eligibility Exemption Dispensation, they are required to submit the 2025 FV Community Competitions Dispensation Request Form.
Clubs should be aware that FV does not guarantee that an Exemption will be granted, as each request is assessed individually.
Please ensure that the Player Eligibility Rosters and Exemption Requests are submitted in full on the FV template provided and/or via the JotForm linked above by the deadlines outlined.
MATCH OFFICIALS FEES
Match Official fees will be split between the competing teams for all Geelong Semi Finals (Week 1) fixtures and invoiced via the finance system.
The Match Official fees for Geelong Grand Finals (Week 2) Fixtures will be covered by FV.
